WINSOR & NEWTON White Spirit
An effective solvent, Artists' White Spirit is less noxious than Distilled Turpentine and has a slightly slower drying time. Derived from petroleum, this solvent yields a thinner mixture with the pigment and evaporates rapidly. It can be utilized to clean brushes and make painting mediums, and to strip off varnishes ahead of applaying them once again (not effective on Dammar Varnish). Compatible with oil and alkyd colour, it does not weaken during storage.
